Del scouts ahead
[Move Silently Roll = 20 (14+6); Spot = 25 (19+6); Listen = 21 (15+6)]
The rest of the party moves north with hast and little conversation with weapons at the ready following the directions of Gefuth as he leads them to his invaded home.
12, 5 unmodified rolls for Aive
14, 7 unmodified rolls for Myrrani
The party transverses the terrain with ranger in toe to aid them. After six hours the party sees they have reached the devils cave. From on top of a hill to the south the group surveys the area. The cave entrance is around 200 feet away in a tiny valley. A trail leads from it to the southeast.
The cave mouth is around 10 feet wide and 20 feet in hight. You see no activity at or around it. Gefuth points to a pile of rocks on the hill, about 100 feet northeast, behind the cave entrance. He says this is the other entrance. Gefuth explains further that the small hole there exits at the ceiling of a small cavern. (To get threw that entrance the PC's would have to squeeze threw one at a time.)
Del was able to find a large patch of berry bushes during the trip. Each party member can acquire the equivalent of 1 days rations from them. While the party is just beginning to think of what to do, Del points curiously to a large bird flying in the distance to the northwest. He is curious because he believes it to be a raven, however by the size of the bird it must be something else.
There is not a lot of cover to find were you are. Only a few trees and small patches of bushes, the ground is pretty rocky.
It is around 6 pm, the party has around 2 hours until nightfall.
To the south from were you came the group recalls a suitable place to hide out for the night.
The night passes uneventful and once again the matter of the cave resurfaces as the party wakes.
I skipped the night just to put you guys back into the cave scenario. The raven did not detect you because it was very far off, and you reacted instantly. I don't know if you have been keeping track of your rations, but it will be minus 5 days rations after this day passes.
The scene is the same in the mourning, but there is no raven that you can see.
In the morning sun the party is fairly certain they are still undetected as they formulate their plans of breaching the cave.

Party order:
Aive, Del
Gefuth
Val, Lwentano
Myrrani
Something like that, with the three at the front moving silently and hiding.
16 10 7 17, unmodified.
Once a little closer Del will use his survival skill to try and determine the types and numbers of tracks. Survival = 17
Del Spot 10 listen 15
Aive spot 24 (rolled a nat), listen 16
The three creep towards the cave entrance, making hardly a sound. Gefuth trails behind, he is as silent as the others. (You can't hide because there is no cover.) Del finds no tracks.
Val feels a strong, pulsating evil coming from the cave.
Aive, once at the entrance, pokes his head out and peers inside. His entire view of the cave is limited due to his human eyesight. He cannot see the back of it or the ceiling, but he does see the cave opens considerably inside.
Aive is able to make out 8 figures standing in place. They are spread out in different places, no two standing very near to one another. The figures are about 5 and a half feet tall, they are doing nothing but standing stiff. You cannot see their faces as they are all turned, facing away. (Aive with your natural 20 roll you are able to spot areas were the figures are not clothed, their skin is pale white.) The nearest figure is 25 feet away.
Del pokes his head around too and sees further into the cave. Del sees that there are more than 8 figures. He counts 13, though he cannot see the back.
Aive you are not adding the +1 to your skills from your luckstone.

Valdalen peers into the cave, eyes squinted, then closes them and reaches out with spirit and divine grace from Heironeous, probing the denizens of the cave for their intent.
(casts his detect evil and will study them for three rounds, if evil also determining how many evil auras there are.)
There is an overpowering sensation of evil coming from the cave. Val is able to determine that the figures are in fact evil, he feels a faint aura of evil emanating from them. After about 15 seconds of concentrating on detecting evil Val is shaken. The saturation of evil emanating from the cave was almost to much to feel a hint of evil coming from the figures. Val feels she must take a moment to compose herself.
