West it is then,
Aive will slip off from the party and sneak
Move silently 16
hide 28
"That seems prudent," agrees Sir Valdalen, following along as carefully as possible, watching behind the group for anyone happening upon them from the rear. Soon, hopefully, they would be nearing their objective and be able to effect some real change on the situation, help people, take care of threats, eliminate these accursed undead and magical beings. The more she thought about it, the more she was ready to lay into these things, and wondering how many there would be.
The further they travel and the darker it gets Aive can no longer put off suggesting they set up camp, attacking the monsters in the dark just seems like a bad idea, but as he suggests it he regrets such a strong input in leaving the bridge up.
As he thinks about the different scenarios in his head he decides against himself, No we must get it over with tonight.
be on the look out for advantageous attack spots, especially once in the cave maybe we can find a corridor and lure them to us.
Nerves begin to creep over him like the darkness itself.
Myrrani whispers in elven to Lwentano.
"I do not know the abilities of the party, but I do not feel comfortable attacking now. We can see fine for now, and there are shadows to hide in, but as those shadows grow, it will only become harder for us. Dawn seems preferable, still having shadows, but things become easier with time then, not harder. I think we should move back off the trail a ways, and make camp safely away from detection for the night."
Lwentano whispers back in elven. I fear you may be correct. While we can see some at night we can make sure the party is safe. I prefer to attack the cave in the morning too.
Lwentano looks around for a place that can be defensible for the group that is off the path. Waiting till morning when all are fresh and ready is the idea time he feels to explore yonder cave.
In common: I think finding a place to camp that is off the trail and hidden from view may be best. Let us wait to advance on this cave in the dawn when we are more refreshed.
Sir Valdalen ponders.
"It is a good idea to wait, I think. BUT - what of the watchers? The sorcerous bird things? What if they observe us now, from above, in the night? Or the undead? Goblins may be in the cave and sleeping, but we do not know about the others, or when they're active - they may not sleep at all. Well concealed camp is best but a definite alert watch is needed, and we need to keep our weapons and armor at hand for immediate use."
Here I am not sure what the final decision is. Aive sounds like he wants to enter the cave. I am getting that vibe sort of from Val. Gefuth would rather enter the cave, though his vote does not count. Lwentano is for camping outside as is Myrrani. I want to be sure I know the final decision of the group before I post.
Myrrani answers Valdalen.
"I can stand watch all night, if I have a little light. Do we have dry wood that will not smoke? If not, I think it would be better to just hide completely, and hope they do not see us."
