Sir Valdalen mouths the words, though they're all but academic, given the look on the face of the Paladin. "Evil... So much... Evil..."
Val looks around at the cave mouth, and up. It's a big area. No flying enemy yet, but that would no doubt soon change. This seemed like this would have been better thought out, but it was too late now. She thought back to the unwalled house and felt a chill, realizing how they weren't sure of their success with just a few of these things - here there are... Well... More than that.
Sir Valdalen's blade exits its scabbard with a slow singing chime, a faint divine aura clinging to its surface like luminous mist, as the Paladin's shield is raised into place alongside the longsword. A lowly whispered prayer to Heironeous is uttered as bows are drawn taught and other people make battle preparations against the unholy things in the cave.
"We must not let them gain advantage over us from above, from their hidden eyes. If we could find a way to pin them into a single chokepoint, we might have a better time of it, but this cave is too wide, they'll all spill out."
The Paladin follows the lead of the others, realizing the meager sling proficiency will likely do nothing against these things, and instead choosing to meet them with full offense of blade and shield in battle.

Myrrani thrusts her hand forward in the space between two of her allies and casts Burning Hands so that the flames will engulf as many of the nearest creatures as possible.

Lwentano nods in satisfaction as the two drop from his arrows. He readies another arrow and takes aim. He is hoping to fell a good amount of these creatures so they can further investigate this cave. He thinks to himself it figures the cowardly goblin would run as he spies the goblin running running away.

As the fell creatures approach Del takes a step back (5' adjustment) and fires at a lemure not yet engaged in hand to hand combat (to avoid penalty of firing into melee). [attack roll = 16 (10+6); damage = 11 (7 + 4)]
OOC: Sorry, I'm still figuring out my bonuses. Attack with bow is +6 (+1 BAB, +1 bow, +4 dex); Damage with bow is + 4 (+1 bow, +2 composite str bonus, +1 PBS when within 30').
