Out of Character:: Yes your weapons are given back. The soldiers / guardsmen were looking for something in particular it would seem. After the search you where able to pick your weapons back up and enter.
[Out of Character:] No offense Oliron, but threatening to "wipe out" your party when all they're trying to do is have fun and follow the plot that you've presented doesn't show very good sportsmanship.
At the very least you could have posted your feelings in the party thread as I am doing now rather than simply threatening your players.
It's too bad because I really thought you were a good DM up until this point, but your actions reveal to me that it would be best for me to seek a more mature setting elsewhere.

If that is the way you feel, I get it. I think you are not seeing this from my point of view though. I see a lot of characters, I have to keep track of all that stuff. I set up the game around the players and think weeks ahead into the game, planning out the plot.
This is all great stuff that I like to do, however the game thread was becoming inactive and all that work is for naught. I did not mean directly to you, you were being an active player.
When you have a party of 4 people and only 2 people are participating it frustrates me. I had 4 people go into this fort, one mentioned a detect magic spell then seemed to disappear, meanwhile the rouge is investigating the shack.
I can't run a game when people just jump in and drop out whenever they feel like. It makes developing the story near impossible and keeping track of all the little bits a mind numbing headache.
Sorry I guess it isn't really your fault, I can see your frustration too. I think I may need to take a break from the Dark Calling Game for awhile.
