Too bad if it stinks for you. I didn't sign up to have my character be decided for me or be told I need to say more or be like you guys. I respect if that's the way you want to run your game then no problem I just didn't read that as part of the requirements of the game. I just thought it will be like Kntoran's. I like something more simple so nothing personal. Everyone has their style, I'm just saying it isn't my style so good luck.
Ahh yes, I was afraid this would happen. I cannot really say anything more about this I see. All I can say is I'm sorry you feel that way.
I understand where your coming from Oliron. I think as time goes on others will see what you mean. Granted at the beginning of any adventure there will be some short one liners. As the character develops that is when people start to add to their characters.
Hmm. Well, at least this was all in the support and questions section, for the most part. I have various opinions about some of all this but everybody has those - I'm just not sure quite what any perceived differences are between KNtoran's and Oliron's games or GM'ing style, or ... I mean, the game didn't start yet so it seems... A bit premature to judge it, but as noted, everyone has their criteria and way they do and judge things.
And Oliron I wasn't slighting you or your game with the comment about the D&D "completeness" - that's how it's been for a decade or so in this form, and somewhat in earlier, and has nothing to do with you - I was just saying I don't mind right now, just having only the one "character sheet" for KN's game, without having a fill out and format another one for a second game - I can just refer back to mine in the thread or on my hard drive for quick references.
I just open a notepad or word document that I have the character saved on. Then a click on the bottom bar will bring up that information. In some cases it is actually better to do it that way because I have found myself having to go back and check my character stats. Once I am in posting.
For instance I would think I am going to swing my weapon at a guy. Then go into the post screen to post. Once in there you can't see what your strength is or how much damage you weapon does. If you have it on a separate file all you have to do is click and boom there you go.
