PBP D&D 3.5 Dark Calling Characters

Oliron's Play By Post AD&D Dark Calling Characters

This thread is for the 3.5 ADnD campaign Dark Calling players to post their characters for verification by the GM.

Everyone starts at level one. The only classes accepted are those in the Players HandBook.

Use Source 1 to make your character. Otherwise if you feel more comfortable writing one up. To generate stats for your Character you should roll 4d6 take away lowest number and add remaining three die. Creating 6 numbers ranging from 3-18. Once you have all six numbers created you can place them in your characters stats as you wish.

Please do not try and post a character with all 18's or something similar to that. Generally the characters attribute points should not exceed more than 82 points total.

If you have any further questions on characters or AD&D in general see Source 4 .

Oh, also as a note: Anyone that wants to tie their character in with mine is welcome, knowing her in whatever way, even family, I don't care - basically this is a young girl inspired to become a knight by ... Not sure yet, a brother or uncle or something, maybe being a hero or being killed or something, and got a titled knight family friend to humor a last request or something, though I'm thinking she may need to disguise herself as a boy... Not sure yet.

Characters Calling Dark Dragons and Dungeons PBP

The three previous characters are approved and ready for game. Good seeing you here KNtoran I did not expect this.

I was going to wait and see if Eienkage posts a character today. Then the four of you can start together. I'm not sure how you all want to explain you knowing each other. It is easy to see how JPatt's and RPGPundit's character would know one another because of the religion thing. In my head I see KNtoran's character as a mercenary or wandering gunslinger type. Eienkage's character will probably be similar to that as well.

Anyways, ideally I would like you all to start at the tavern if possible. If possible at the same table discussing recent events. Weather, politics, nightmares, raiders, something along these lines to get the ball rolling.

PBP D&D 3.5 Dark Calling Characters

I'm not in a rush so if you want to wait for more characters go ahead. I'm also alright about where we start, that's as good place as any. Still will like to customize here though, choose a different avatar at least.

I'll elect to do the brief history of my character in the party RP thread to help start the game. I will adjust the name for a culture difference.

This is a reply I was not able to post in the questions and support section. After reading and all I realized I was wrong.

international QUOTE
That's too bad. I would think a shortsword would be usable one-handed for a halfing, but a longsword would probably be too end-heavy for the Halfling's low leverage, to use without some difficulty, unless two-handed. I can't find any rules that indicate otherwise, that a halfling with a katana has to essentially use it like a two-handed sword - though I wonder how a no-dachi would be represented.

I copied this information from the weapon information in the manual.

A weapon's size category isn't the same as its size as an object. Instead, a weapon's size category is keyed to the size of the intended wielder. In general, a light weapon is an object two size categories smaller than the wielder, a one-handed weapon is an object one size category smaller than the wielder, and a two-handed weapon is an object of the same size category as the wielder.

So using this information a medium short sword is a light weapon that is of the tiny size category so I stand corrected. A small character could use a medium sized short sword in the one-handed fashion. Being that it is one size category less. Sorry about that confusion I am a bit rusty. Thank you for bringing this out JPatt.

Looks like we lost Eienkage he has been deleted, ready when you are JPatt. Looking forward to your RP post.
