Which Nation or Tribe do you think is the most known to the world? For instance 'Apache' has been popularized because of Hollywood's Western Films, but Apache is not the only one. Which one Nation / Tribe do you think is the most known to the world?

In my opinion, Cherokee would be the one that most Brit's could name.
In fact, an English supermarket chain must also think so, as they staked the whole of their children's range of clothing on this name!

I would have thought that Apache would be the most widely recognized throughout the world, thanks to the many old Western movies that used the Apache nation as the antagonists.
Of course, among geeks, Apache would HAVE to be the most widely recognized name, not as a nation, but as a computer server.

I believe the two names that readily stand out is 'Apache' and 'Mohawk', however, because I am familiar with most Indian tribes names such as 'Cherokee', 'Hopi', 'Shawnee', and so forth are also popular, and have in fact been made mention many times in movies. In the end, I believe most refer to the Apache tribe though.

Apache is always mentioned in coyboy and indian movies so that is the one I know. I also know about suix, chreokee and pawnee.
