Jamaica amends Anti Terrorism Act to meet global demands

KINGSTON, Jamaica (JIS) -- The House of Representatives has amended Jamaica's Terrorism Prevention Act to allow the Minister to introduce heavier penalties, subject to approval by Parliament. Minister of Education and Leader of the House, Andrew Holness said admendment was "minor but nevertheless important".
