Remember Mr. Roger's Neighborhood? He has gone now, but certainly not forgotten. What did you like about the show?
QUOTE (From USA Today) |
Host of 'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood' dies at 74 -------------------------------------------------- Fred Rogers, who gently invited millions of children to be his neighbor as host of the public television show 'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood' for more than 30 years, died of cancer early Thursday. He was 74. Rogers died at his Pittsburgh home, said family spokesman David Newell, who played Mr. McFeely on the show. Rogers had been diagnosed with stomach cancer sometime after the holidays, Newell said. |
I grew up watching Mr. Rogers. I really loved it when he would send the trolley to the land of make-believe. But did you know that he was also a preacher? I didn't even know that until I watched a tv special on The life of Mr. Rogers. It was a really good program. My girls really enjoy watching his shows. Even though they have been in reruns since the summer of last year. Mr. Rogers may be gone, but he is far from being forgotten.
I am glad they are still doing reruns of his show even now. My favorite part of the show, even now, was when Mr. Rogers would visit some factory or something and you got to see how things are made or put together, etc. I am always fascinated by that kind of thing.
