GM: Using last two rolls for Wuhn...
Wuhn examines the door and feels nothing will harm him but he is not perfectly sure. Having nothing else to lose he decides to try and open the door but realizes he has no thieves' tools with which to do so.
You refresh yourselves and skins with the water below. As the water goes down your throat you suddenly wonder if it is contaminated in some way. Nothing happens to you now, you imagine what may later.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You carefully leave this cave in a manner so as to not set of anymore traps or be fooled by ambush. Fortunately you make it back out safely. The sun has almost set, you estimate it is about 5:30pm to 6:00pm, and it will be dark soon. You look for Kalfie's body with what daylight is left but do not find anything. You continue South and see that it carries on for miles. After about half an hour it is dark enough that you will need light to see your movements.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You decide to turn back in the darkness. Those with below average Soul (10 is average) begin to complain about the burdens you face. You make your way back to the cave. All the walking back and forth has made you weary. You are also hungry and thirst.
GM: Each Player should have a ration and drink. Those who are not able to eat should let me know in the next Party Order.
The night is relatively quiet. You do hear distant howls to the South but they never progress to where you camp. The sun rises and you prepare yourself for the new day.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You dwell on your situation and what to do next. Your body yearns for food and drink and you feel compelled to oblige. Everyone drinks a skin and another ration.
GM: You are feeding X4 how many rations do you have left it should have finished by now.
Depressed and hungry you survive on remaining rations and drink while making your way back to the Village. Thomas cannot believe that they got all this way for nothing. The others learned a lesson about traveling into a desert without food or water.
Fortunate for you nothing happens to stop your return and once you start to see green again you feel overjoyed. It will take some days to re-equip and get yourselves feeling robust enough to make your way back to the South. You decide to look in the Market for extra hands to reduce the folly and increase the thinking minds.
GM: Let's break for awhile. Get significant numbers (maybe six-seven Players) and proper equipment where everyone can survive on their own items to journey to the South and then we can look at starting back if those things are fulfilled.
Its Been Long Enough...
People are saying that Bandits have been sighted in the South Mountains again and this time they are ruthless in their dealings with Village folk which has resulted in kidnappings, burglaries and even muggings - crimes that were unheard of before. You have spent time enough sitting around feeling sorry for your last failures. The time is at hand.
GM: I am opening this up. You can start with whomever you have but I will be making some renovations to the Posts so they are as never before - stay tuned for some real eye candy!
GM: Please ensure that everyone updates their acquired items and stats in their profile as that is what I use to keep track since there is no longer a group stats page.
You acquire some items that you feel will be necessary for your plunge towards the South again.
You go to the Village Tavern to hear of the current talk among Village folk.
A wench comes by and asks for your order.
GM: Minus a gold piece those of you who wish to have a hearty meal and ale / wine.
You sit back and listen to drunken rants.
You find that besides talk of crops, the weather, and high taxes most bring up the increasing numbers of Bandits that are raiding the Village at what almost seems to be their leisure. Most complain that a large enough army needs to commit to getting rid of the menace once and for all so the Village can expand and the people live in peace.
You ask around if anyone has seen Wanderer, but no one has.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You ask around about anyone for hire, but no one seems to know of anyone courageously willing to go down to the South to lose their life in a bloody manner.
You leave the tavern slowly with a contented feeling of good food and drink.
You go to the Southern part of the Village with your equipment.
GM: By now it is about 8pm.
You set up a camp with no fire. Most of the night passes cold but without any mishap or sound of wolves that have been heard in times past.
GM: It is now 5:00am. Say what you wish to do now.
