After taking a small chunk from he various foods on Lionel's plate, Ryorst stepped back with one whispered word so only Lionel could hear.

"Lies."

Lionel looks towards Ryorst, a look of confusion barely discernable before it was replaced with a scowl. He face cleared though after only a few moments, and his smile returned. He says the Duke two words, "I see." Lionel sighs, as he had looked forward to a pleasant discussion with Lady Natasha, before continuing, "Is our private meeting still on for tonight", he asks the Duke.

Yes we can walk the ramparts together and talk if you wish after a fine meal.

"Thank you", Lionel says with a smile, then continue eating so he may finishup the meal.

The meal continues for another half an hour while various meats chesses, vegetables and fruits are passed around on platters by the serving wenches. There is mead, ale and wine to drink but only water for those who sit behind.

Lionel continues to have Ryorst taste all that is placed before him. Lionel picked the wine, but makes sure to have Ryorst take a sip first. Lionel will then try the wine himself, and after a pleased smile will turn to the Duck and say, "Hmm, the wine is exquisite, what type may I ask."
After the Duke's answer, Lionel will ask, "By chance do you have a library I may take a look at, as I would like to do a bit of research as I stay."

Yes I will have a page lead you to the library tomorrow after we break fast. I am sure you may find some things in there but it is not as well stocked as others.

The wine is from a farm south of here that a half brother of mine farms. I am just glad that he is a fine wine maker.
