Back in the early 90's I had the chance to meet him and asked him a couple of questions. Something about him just looked so different and back at the hotel where he was staying the rumors were strong that he was gay. Now after a couple of decades, he announces to the world that he is homosexual.

Ricky said writing his memoir and thinking about his two twin sons led him to go public.
"To keep living as I did up until today would be to indirectly diminish the glow that my kids where [sic] born with. Enough is enough. This has to change. This was not supposed to happen 5 or 10 years ago, it is supposed to happen now. Today is my day, this is my time, and this is my moment," He wrote....

Being that he has children I wonder if he does not mean to say he is bisexual. At one point he must have liked a woman enough to sleep with her. Unless she was impregnated some other way. Maybe he was confused before but is now certain he likes men that way.
When I look at him I don't see a homosexual. I see some traits that he flaunts, that are similar to homosexuals.

He had a surrogate, allegedly a close relative of him so yes, he is homosexual. The reason he waited so long is the same reason most stars do, they do not want to disappoint the female fans (less money, sales drop, etc).
