I understand what they are doing but I do not necessarily agree with it. This is almost an invitation to commit crime.

More sex offenders freed on parole

The system that decides whether mentally ill sex offenders are too dangerous to be freed when their prison terms end has seen a tenfold increase in cases since the passage of Jessica's Law in California three years ago.  Ref. Source 7

Prison Release Law History & Civil Business Politics

It is my belief that the prison systems are over crowded for two big reasons.

1. Numerous inmates go out and commit a crime again so they can live in prison and get three meals a day and live in what they have come to know as luxury. Many do not know a life outside of the bars and they can not see them selves outside of the bars. They are happy to be in prison. We need to change this. Yeah we can keep them in prison but take some of these creature comforts away from them. Make them wear pink and live in military tents. Let them have cable but let it be two channels CNN and the weather channel. Give them MREs for food.

2. We should legalize drugs and tax it heavily. Like we are currently doing with tobacco and alcohol. This way we are not putting a bunch of drug trafficers in the prison system and we should see a reduction in the number of inmates. We will save a boat load of money trying to stop drugs and the price of drugs will bottom out. Maybe we can see an improvement in law enforcement that has nothing to do with drugs.

That is my thoughts on this. If we do this maybe just maybe we can keep a lot of these more violent people in longer and not have to worry so much about who is moving into our neighborhood.
