For those lovers of the "old" action movies, you may have a chance to see Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a movie together called "The Expendables". They will be together for one scene only BUT Stallone who directs the movie has filled out the rest of the movie with some of the biggest action stars from the '80s, '90s and 2000s. Stallone worked so hard that almost broke his neck!

The Expendables is a hard-hitting action / thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren't quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal. With their mission thwarted and an innocent life in danger, the men struggle with an even tougher challenge one that threatens to destroy this band of brothers.

Everyone fits except Dolph, individual-accomplishment-wise, and maybe Crews. Those two - I don't see it. The other older actors besides Sly are going to mostly be cameos and bit parts from my understanding, but still, a big cast nonetheless, even with what Sly claims is a $70M budget limit.
The plot, story and acting is going to awful, but chase and action and maybe personal "cool" scenes may be good, for the heroes. Statham needs something to redeem him from Crank 2, maybe half a dozen REAL action heroes (even counting Dolph) *might* do it.
I saw the trailer for The Expendables in the cinema and I can honestly say if the trailer is as bad as the movie then I definitely will not be watching. Plus none of the listed actors are the type to entice me to watch the film. I may have gone to see Arnold Schwarzenegger but I think he has a small part which they ensure to show you in the trailer in the hope of ticket sales.
Barney Ross leads the "Expendables", a band of highly skilled mercenaries including knife enthusiast Lee Christmas, martial arts expert Yin Yang, heavy weapons specialist Hale Caesar, demolitionist Toll Road and loose-cannon sniper Gunner Jensen. When the group is commissioned by the mysterious Mr. Church to assassinate the merciless dictator of a small South American island, Barney and Lee head to the remote locale to scout out their opposition. Once there, they meet with local rebel Sandra and discover the true nature of the conflict engulfing the city. When they escape the island and Sandra stays behind, Ross must choose to either walk away and save his own life - or attempt a suicidal rescue mission that might just save his soul.

I went and saw this movie not really expecting much. IT was your normal HE-man macho type action movie with a lot of stunts and action. I think it was ok and I would watch it again just to see other impossibilities that I saw in the first viewing. IF you want to go see a movie to make you feel manly then go see it. I rate this movie:
The movie was dumb not only because of the impossibilities that Kntoran mentioned but also the silly things that you know not even I would do and I'm no mercenary for hire. For instance check the car chase where Stallone and Li are being chased. All Li has to do is shoot at the tires and that's it but he doesn't and neither does the bad guys. The only good parts was the clip where Statham changes the nose of the plane into a gunner area and they blow up the docks. Plus the part where Arnold meets them in the church.
Yeah while the car chase was fun to watch it would never happen that way. And the plane blowing up the docks? Well the fire would follow the vapor trail up to the plane and cause it to explode in mid air too. Too many way to die that never really happened.
