Healthcare for child molesters?
Congressman Alan Grayson ran into someone the other day who apparently knew a bit more about the healthcare bill than he did. When asked about why he would vote for a bill that supported giving taxpayer dollars for treatment of convicted sex offenders, Grayson seemed appalled and had no idea he voted for exactly that. Ref. This is a hard point to argue. If you say certain people should not get the same benefits as others you are saying they are less of a person and not deserving. While this may be true in many people eyes (including mine). It invites a sort of calloused view point that could also fall into other categories of society.
A thought that keeps popping in my head is what about those who have been wrongfully accused. Or like minorities who are wrongfully forced to plead no contest and loose their state aid.
All of a sudden you have a group of people who are not allowed good health care who may be innocent. We have to watch these politicians, they often claim to have no knowledge of basic information. Then claim they agreed to a bill or something because someone higher up told them too. These politicians are playing games and they get away with it. I am wary of anything they say that sounds good on the surface.

Health care for child molesters? Let me make it easier. Put them all to death and we shouldnt be worried about this. Yes its that simple.

Yes, thank you, this is exactly my point. Officials will find whatever on you or make things up if they so desire. This can permanently change your life to date. Let alone in the near future when you will be denied health care an basic citizenship.
I am not saying we should not punish these people who commit such acts. However until we are just and fair removing all mistakes. I can't fully as a human being back denying people the right to live. As mutch as I would like to just throw them all in the fire and be done with it the fact remains some are innocent.
We need to crack down on the judicial system and police force to further make sure people are being treated justly. From what I can see around me in America this is a long, long, way off.
This being said some cases it seems are 100% locked and the person is guilty as sin. These folks should be punished to the furthest extent of the law, whatever it is I think. I am not saying the previous post supports me on this but it is my belief.

I believe if you are guilty than you should face the crime's punishment. But the justice system will never be flawless, even a lie detector is only 99.9 percent and no offense but machines are known to normally make less mistakes than humans if the machine is designed and produced properly. Human error will occur as long as we are a species. Therefore the police force will continue to see everything in a bias view. They will see what they want to see if they can acquire enough evidence, even if they are innocent, it just makes their job easier as there is no longer a point to further investigate once the proof is there.

Well thank you for clarifying this. But however in the newspaper, and to the public he was made out to be some sort of dangerous monster when he is one of the nicest people I know. I do not know for sure that his computer was bought at a yard sale but I do know it is an older computer which he did not have a few years prior to the incident. He could have taken it from his mom's house or several other possibilities, however he told me it was bought in a yard sale.
I was just shocked to see someone who would not take a penny without asking go to jail over such a pitiful reason.
