As the tea party movement tries to energize conservatives in Oklahoma, many longtime Republican officeholders have found themselves with an unusual problem — eager opponents challenging them from the right. (AP Photo/Shane Bevel)AP - The tea party is making a lot of noise, but the angry-at-government movement has yet to establish itself as a force that can determine the outcome of November's congressional elections. The key could be forging alliances with GOP candidates, but tea partiers in nearly every state are leery of that if not downright opposed.

November impact but noise party Tea

There is a significant quantity of people in the Tea Party that actually voted Obama in the last presidential election. The heart of the Tea Party is not the birth'ers that Obama mentions, it is fiscal conservatism. It is for less government, less entitlements and debt (not deficit - that shouldnt even been a discussion point in their minds) reduction/elimination. This is not a religiously driven group, so democrats will have a hard time in mocking them and their platform, because it makes sense.

I actually think that the Tea Party is a rejuvenation of the republican party. It is the tug boat that is righting the direction of the party bringing it back to its conservative roots.

If Obama continues his assult on legislative protocal and rams home yet more laws and programs that really are not wanted by the public...the Tea Party is going to sound really good. However, if it splinters that republican party (instead of transforming it), then it will have a negative effect in Nov.
