What Is Life - Page 2

I quess when you start breaking down stuff into atoms and molecules like that everything takes on another aspect. It's strange our cognitive thought is a process that travels threw other living things, that individually have no awareness. Do our cells or molecules that give us the power of our awareness of our existence share that?

I am reminded of a statement I made before that scientists in the 1950's supposedly recreating the starting of life in an experiment. I wonder if this is true, is our cognitive thought also along these same lines. Did it just naturally occur due to the "climate" or "enviroment" of our minds. Following this train of thought I think the possibility of intelligent life outside of earth has just multiplied greatly from my perspective.

Life What

I have felt myself that life is a matter of spirit. Everything that is alive has a place and a function.

What Is Life UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences

I was recently reading to pass the time and came across a passage that I thought valuable to this topic.

Quote from author Eckhart Tolle, in his book A New Earth. Chapter 5, Pg. 132

international QUOTE
The physical organism, your body, has its own intelligence, as does the organism of every other life-form. And that intelligence reacts to what your mind is saying, reacts to your thoughts. So emotion is the body's reaction to your mind. The body's intelligence is, of course, an inseperable part of universal intelligence, one of its countless manifestations. It gives temporary cohesion to the atoms and molecules that make up your physical organism. It is the organizing principle behind the workings of all the organs of the body, the conversion of oxygen and food into energy, the heartbeat the circulation of the blood, the immune system that protects the body from invaders, the translation of sensory input into nerve impulses that are sent to the brain, decoded there, and reassembled into a coherent inner picture of outer reality. All these, as well as thousands of other simultaniously occuring functions, are coordinated perfectly by that intelligence. You don't run your body. The intelligence does. It also is in charge of the organism's responses to its enviroment.

This is true for any life-form.

This for me really puts the concept into perspective. It explains the motion of life and the molecular level of life. I would even say if you look at the way an organism reacts to its enviroment, you might see the spirit of that life-form.
