I just saw National Geographic had a documentary / reenactment about two escapees from the Elmira Correctional Facility. Both were murders. One of the murders had a life sentence for raping and killing a 8 month pregnant woman. The unborn baby also died. In planning their escape one of the things shown is that they were able to collect many tools in order to dig their way out of prison using their 'good behavior' to bypass check points. It goes to show that guards can become too trusting and forget protocol - dangerous.
