Mormon church to add 300 million names
FamilySearch President Jay Verkler said 300 million more names will be available online this week through the LDS Church's family history service. Verkler made the announcement to applause at Wednesday's opening session of the National Genealogical Society Family History Conference in Salt Lake City. Ref. Source 7

LDS Church members will get free access to more family history records
Don Anderson, a senior vice president of patron and partner services at FamilySearch, announced that for the general public, free access would be granted for Ancestry.com, FindMyPast.com and MyHeritage.com in LDS Church family history centers worldwide. Ref. Source 5

Comments: Sometime ago I got a CD for my then 3 year old. It is called "Silly Songs" And the song "I am my own Grandpa" Is on it. It is a silly song, but imagine the horror of an amateur genealogist trying to untangle the weave of something that happened 150-200 years ago.... And even now it happens...
