Underground Subway - Page 3

You stand around deliberating what to say and how to say it. During your delay the following has happened:

* The police officer tells Krusten,

"Sorry mam but my Sarge just gave me a signal and I can't let you go down there."

Krusten is then escorted behind the police line.

When the others approach Krusten will already be standing behind the line.

Then you hear the radios go wild,

"Man down, man down... hostage in jeopardy, hostage may be shot."

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Subway Underground

GM: Based on Rolls used in the same way as it was for Krusten.

Garrant walks up first showing off his abilities by levitating a card. He is immediately recognized by a line cop and is let through with a cordial greeting.

Optalagent follows and displays his levitation powers as he approaches the police in mid air. Everyone is watching in amazement of the feat. The policeman frowns at the sight of a man flying whom he does not recognize and says,

"What the..."

He almost reaches for his gun but is implored by Garrant of Optalagent friendship and he stands down saying,

"I'll take your word for it Mr. Garrant Sir."

The policeman then takes you to his worried Sargent on duty who believes your desire to help. He briefly explains that a five car subway train is being held by some hijackers who want ransom money. He shows you a map of where everything is located (you have seen that already) and wants to know how you can assist without the hijackers hurting any of the passengers. he adds that the hijackers have AK-47s and probably a tech9.

Underground Subway Reviews & RPGs PBP Anime / Comic

Forge and Assassin decide upon trying to open the door blocking their way. Forge uses his fire concentrated at the lock in as a discreet manner as possible and you can literally hear the mechanism within becoming loose as the lock becomes a bright orange glow from the heat. The door even opens slightly ajar as conformation of your success, your only hope is that no one on the other side was aware of it.

Meanwhile...

The rest of you ask to go down to the area of the situation so you can get a better idea of what is going on. As you walk down the stairs in urgent fashion the Sargent radios his officers that he is bringing you down. At the same time they radio back about a strange fire coming from one of the tunnel doors near the subway train. You look at each other in surprise remembering that is where you left Assassin and Forge.

GM: Say what you wish to do now. I would like to note here that as GM I do NOT assume anything about what your characters will do / not do. If you do not put it as part of your action then it does not happen.

Page 3 Subway Underground

Krusten informs the Sargent about Forge and Assassin's fireworks below. The Sargent radios his men,

"Stand down those are friendlies..."

After a second...

"Roger that..."

You then arrive at the North end of the tunnel.

GM: Refer to map and red square.

From your vantage point and the aid of a light sensitive binoculars from a SWAT member you see:

* Many passengers, possibly 30 or so all squeezed into the third car.
* There is a man with driving uniform to the front car, he may be dead.
* There seems to be a hijacker in each car in a low position just peeking through the window occasionally.
* In the third car are men women and children and the hijackers are around them / between them.

The Sargent explains that they have not gone in yet because the hijackers look unstable and will likely kill everyone. They say they have a bomb on board too. he then adds,

"We don't want a national blunder here because then we'll all be going down as the idiots of the subway."

He then spits to one side as he takes in a call.

GM: say what you will do now.

Krusten gives a signal to Assassin and Forge to wait. She then uses her danger sense but senses nothing different than what she already knows.

Optalagent uses his danger sense and likewise senses nothing beyond his current knowledge.

Garrant suggests a plan of paying the ransom and then following the hijackers but you are told the mayor has a policy of no negotiation with hijackers.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

Underground Subway

You decide to make a coordinated attack on the hijackers.

Garrant request is answered as he is given a big black bag, similar to a doctor's bag, but larger with what is supposed to be ten million dollars.

Krusten suggests she can take out the lights using her speed but the Sargent looks quizzed and simply says,

"Lady we can do that via the main control switch."

Assassin aims for the Subway Train Cab that has all the hostages in it. He hopes to find the bomber there using his special vision.

The police agree that they can setup their snipers but they say the do not understand the sequence of what you want to do.

GM: I understand what each of you want to do but I do not understand the order in which it needs to be done. For instance first we will do 'x' then after that we will do 'y', etc. Is the money bag going to be taken before lights go out? What will Krusten do no that she knows how the lights can be turned off. Which cars are you specifically firing on?

The SWAT team tells you they are already in position and have a man on each section of the train.

The Sargent informs you that the service tunnel is open or your use.

You mention your plan to see about the section of the train that has the hostages, he agrees but adds,

"Listen, we're talking lives here, so whatever you do... No lives lost"

He then answers another call on his radio.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The police inform the hijackers that someone is coming with the money. They tell you to come to the third car and not to try anything funny.

You ask for night vision goggles and communication devices which you (except for Forge and Assassin who are still unaware what you are doing) are given temporarily.

Garrant is given the bag described earlier. He goes over to the third car where he is met by a masked man with a rather intimidating AK-47. Garrant tells him to let the hostages go in order to show he is serious to which the man curses and continues,

"Drop the bag there and move away!'

He then points the gun right at Garrant. You feel these guys mean business. A quick look shows you frightened passengers tied up and masked men in between them with guns.

Garrant shrugs his shoulders and suddenly the lights are out save for the emergency ones on the train.

GM: Everyone can use the Dice link to make D100 Rolls. Make about 10 rolls so there is no need to re-roll each time. And report the results.
