I am on the fence I quess on this. One part of me thinks we should try and do away with cigarettes completely. Ask anyone who has been smoking for about 4 years and they will tell you they wish they never started. It is a disgusting habit and horrible for your health. If they never had a cigarette they wouldn't even want to smoke.
I am trying to say the more laws there are stopping people from smoking the better. However this is America and people should have the right to smoke if they want to. Yet again if I was walking around a park and some people by me were smoking, stinking up my fresh air I think I would be annoyed. Then again it would probably be easy to walk away from them so I wouldn't have to smell the smoke.
It is hard for me to make up my mind on this. Recently my home town voted against a law that would ban smoking in bars. I voted against it, thinking people should be able to smoke in a bar if they want. If the law was more along the lines of leaving it up to the owner of the bar to decide if he wants smoking in it or not I may have voted for it. However people have always smoked in bars, smokes go along with beer like pretzels.
Some people may feel strongly smoking goes along with a brisk walk threw the park or fishing, ect . . . Maybe leaving it up to the individual parks would be a better option. Leaving an equal number of parks and beaches for smokers, and those for non smokers. This would have to be done fairly though otherwise a lot of the not so nice parks and beaches will be left for the smokers.

I hate smoking however, I think this is a bit too much? I fully support and understand in restaurants and enclosed places but parks? Not sure about this one.

I also hate smoking, however buying and smoking cigarettes is not illegal, so people who choose to do this have the right to smoke somewhere. I believe around playgrouds, it should be banned, however how would this be policed? Also in cars with children but again, how can this be policed?
