Tech Level: Very Good
I just received an e-mail from "Carol Jeffries" titled "Great to hear from you". The name didn't ring a bell and when I read the letter I knew it wasn't for me. It had an attachment titled "Halloween" and that caught my suspicion.
So I scanned it with the Yahoo! scanner and sure enough it contained a virus. Sad part is it got past my computer virus scanner. I have it set to scan everyday at 4:00 and I saw it working then. I upgrade it all the time when it says it needs it.
So, a word to the wise, be careful. Just because you have a virus program be careful. These things are sneaky.

Yea, I feel for you on that. Back a year or so ago, an email loaded with a virus hit my puter hard drive pretty bad. :( What's worse, was that it was from a friend of mine and didn't realize that she had the virus. You never know about some emails. I pay extra close attention to emails with attatchments.
I use an offline email program, but before I download all of my email, I check through my email box online before I dump it to my puter to work with offline. The ones that I don't know who they are from or don't recognize immediately get deleted.
