I guess the main problem is that the leader who wants this built moved it two blocks closer to the world trade center and said something about making it shrine for the terrorists. If I heard correctly this leader has also stated that he would like to make a Muslim state within the USA.

They are saying the president is disconnected from the voters? have they looked in a mirror lately? I think all of Congress is disconnected and have no real clue what the majority of the people want. Leave it to the Republicans to try to make this Mosque issue a major issue for the mid term elections.

Prez approves of Ground Zero mosque

The President took an unnecessary plunge into the Ground Zero mosque debate, stating that he was all for the controversial placement of the mosque. The President, who once bemoaned the Constitution as a charter of negative liberties, suddenly is clinging to the Constitution and its freedom of religion principle BUT he wouldn't get into the 'wisdom' of the decision. Comments: Why still there's a lot of people cannot realize (too naif) that Islam is a dangerous religion? It's only take one small step to make a "good Muslim" into a dangerous terrorist. Obama is to busy to try get sympathy from Muslim world, in the mean time he's obey his people. Islam cannot treat as other religion, because it's ideology are more dangerous than communism. Obama is soft to the Islamic communities because he was raised as a Islam. His father even sent him to a Islamic school that teaches the extreme Islamic fundamentals that a lot of the terrorist call their religion.

That being said I still hope for a peaceful outcome of al of this. I am sure there is one that can be reached that will satisfy everyone. Otherwise we will be looking at some very dark times.
