Ending some speculation, Escondido police today release a terse statement saying that convicted sex-offender John Gardner III "remains a focus" of the Amber Dubois case.

The body of the Escondido teen, missing for 13 months, was discovered in the remote Pala area early Saturday morning. Gardner was charged last week in the rape and killing of 17-year-old Chelsea King of Poway. Ref. SignOnSanDiego.com

Oh those poor parents. When she was missing, there was still hope. Such a waste. 14 years old? Not fair. I hope they string up the killer and he has a long and painful existence.
