In preparation for the opening of classes on June 15, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has drawn up a nationwide security plan aimed at ensuring the safety of millions of students and the public from unscrupulous elements who might take advantage of the situation.

The nationwide security and public safety plan is contained in letter of instruction (LOI) “Balik-Eskwela 2010” issued by PNP Chief, Director General Jesus Verzosa who ordered all PNP regional offices and national support units to perform specific tasks.
