Yes anything can be used for good as well as bad. I am sure there will be limited use of this technology for security reasons. I am sure I will get my hands on it for security uses.

This reminds me of the movie Predator and the invisible technology (really a reflection of the environment) that the alien had. If it is really good as it sounds then it will be good for sight, but what about heat detection? How does it work at night?
