Ooc: I just want to be clear on some things. I am trying to piece this together in my head. The ogre is a grandchild of a god. He is looking for a crystal so that no one can sever his arcane mark on whoever beat him last? Or are the crystals for us to find so that we can keep him dead? Sorry I just need a little help on those details. I hope this is coming out sounding like I am asking nicely. Edited: Oliron on 22nd Jul, 2010 - 6:21am
Yea I'm guessing and hoping there will be allot of questions,
The ogre has extra abilities from the favor or his grandfather/mother one of them being he gets revived.
Dorian tried to explain in his odd way that theses crystals could be used to stop him receiving any divine aid, pretty much cancel the gods from seeing/helping him. And with one there would be a way to kill him so he could not be revived.
So naturally these 3rd gens, thats what I'm calling them because there is a few or maybe we will call them god touched? thats up for a vote...
anyway most of those guys want to collect the crystals for them self presumably so they can use it on the other god touched or simply to stop them from being used on themselves.
Remembering Dorian said there were only six known of.
Last bit isn't important right now but just something your character might consider.
Being the grandchild of a god means one of his parents are a half god (demi god) and it is unusual for them to go around and even have a child without being known of let alone more then 2 or 3 being in the material plane in the same decade,
(Demi god = someone like Hercules or Posiden they usually get noticed) Edited: testsubject1 on 22nd Jul, 2010 - 6:37am
Now that I am rested I was thinking we need to search this ship from stern to bow and from top to bottom to make sure there are no more surprises waiting for us. If this crystal is on this ship we need to find it and make sure it is in safe hands. We also need to figure out what the other item in the letter was referring to.
Wolter the dwarf doesn't seem too inclined in talking, if you are lucky he will grunt otherwise the only other sound is the rattle of his chains and manacles as he stares at the floor.
(you can try specific questions you might find something that interests him or try specific skills such intimidate or diplomacy but I will still need to know the general direction of the questions)
Feroz the cook more then happily took the fish and thanked you muchly! Edited: testsubject1 on 26th Jul, 2010 - 4:51am
Wolter will clean up all the spilled grains and the wastes and dispose of it after making sure the crystal is not there.
He will ask specific questions as to why he is here. Why is he in chains. What does he know of the uprising that took place. Has he seen the half elf maiden lately. Has he seen any crystals?
Wolter gets a grunt from the dwarf and something short in dwarven but thats about it,
Feroz tries his best at calming the captain but seems to make the situation worse, the captain is on the verge of shooting Feroz or blowing his own brains out with the flintlock pistol when eventually one of the twin dancers intervenes.
Appearing quite experienced at this she controls the situation knowing what to say and when, and with a soft voice and gentle questions she has him reflect upon the situation and in no time he is an unarmed quivering mess being escorted back to his room.
.........
A couple of hours later he returns still looking a mess but slightly more sober, he requests that the dead be respectfully and gracefully brought to the deck with their most precious items for a true sea funeral also that the goblin kind be striped of all possessions and tossed overboard.
(let me know your actions during this time)
All goes fairly smoothly, (not all aboard are being helpful) until the confusion arises as Balto gets brought up to the deck twice and all are in shock of him having an identical twin on board that no one new about (the halflings) and that both of them are missing a finger, another mystery to follow them is the small ornate chest thats needing some sort of key found near the bodies.
Wolter the ship is still a bit too far for that, its a magical dagger he is holding out, you would have seen him explain to Feroz to hold it tight and ask a question.
