Oliron, how are we planning on handling this negotiation? If it comes to it I'm happy to go down there under the ruse of negotiation, and wail on them. Might have to get you to bulk me up all you can with your spells/psionics if that's the plan. If we're actually planning on negotiating we may want to send someone with more charisma than my 7.
Testsubject1, is there any way we can try to verify the number of assailants in the room? Listen check or something? If so I'm at a +0. I'm sure there'd be someone up here among the passengers/crew that could help out with a listen check, as well? I'd rather not wander down there unarmed without knowing my odds.
If we aren't planning on mutilating the hostage-takers, Un'Rogaar might go for a walk. Starting to wonder where that smoke is coming from .......
I am pretty sure we all figured you were saying Wolter instead of Oliron in the game thread.
It sounds like the bad guys are unarmed. I say we let them come up and try to play it like we are unarmed too. Or maybe just try and convince them to come up and that we are not going to kill them.
Either way I think we should finish off these halflings and then kill these bad guys downstairs. I don't really care about hostages or whatever. I am not sure how lethal their attacks will be without weapons anyway.
My gauntlets will do a solid 1d3-1d4+7 damage, depending on how big we're deciding my hands are. I should be able to unleash all manner of mayhem if I can get close without them suspecting anything, even unarmed.
We need a more valuable hostage. Could always try suggesting a trade for the captain, if he's in the room. Then we have Un'Rogaar 'escort' him down there for safety, and 5-6 rounds later we're mopping the orc-blood off the deck. Better to get Liz away from them as quickly as possible. She's injured, and is probably the only one who can explain any of this.
If there is only six of them down there the main thing to so is get the hostage away from them. If we can do that we can cause all kinds of havoc. IF these two halflings were part of those six we are only dealing with four. That makes great odds for us. The only problem then is the flying ship thing.
As you have been down there already I'll let you know the halflings aren't from below there was 3 half orcs, 2 humans and one big as burley dwarf.
