Would You Name Your Child Jor-El?
If you are having a baby would you name him Jor-El?
I actually know a guy who named his kids Jor-El, Sarek and something else. It still boggles my mind, as he's now nearing his 60's, so he did ths a long time ago and his kids are in college and married. I think if I was "into" something like he apparently was into comic books and Star Trek, I probably would - I could see myself naming my son Garion (maybe not Hawk the Slayer) - my cousin named his son Ashton, after Bruce Campbell's "Ash" character from the Evil Dead movie series.
I don't like Jor-el but I don't have a problem with the name. As a matter of fact one of my boys second name is Kalel. I like unique names and I think that just because it happened to be the name of a character, that shouldn't stop you from naming your kid with that name.
