Feroz chuckles, "That's what you get for messing with us."

He wonders briefly why they even attacked. They should have known they were out matched. He wonders if there was some other motive for this briefly.

He stands like a statue on the sand. Letting the energies of the desert enter into him and translating them into a structured response of his own life force. His mind blasts quickly threw various possible encounters and challenges imagining himself threw them.

He factors in his companions and their energy signatures. The position of the sun. The speed of the wind along with its direction / directions. Many other things enter his mind and become translated by it, and his heart in those few moments.

He examines the equipment of the attackers who died. The way their weapons are crafted and of what materials. He examines their clothes in the same way.

He begins to feel at one with the new environment. His outfit is now black and a veil covers his mouth and nose.

After all this he finds higher ground if there is some. Then looks into the distance scanning the area / sky.

The captain will look over every one, another life has been lost.
With the carts of goods he feels they make an excellent target for scavengers and must push though to the town without rest.

Night begins to fall and panic is stewing amongst the group.
Then as you reach the top of a large dune a wave of relief falls upon the tired travellers, the large mining town looking quite grand and lit up can be seen only a few hours travel away.

In the path between you lot and the town is what at first appeared to be a large band of hyena's but upon closer inspection you realize is a band of gnolls.

What looks like a small army of enemies, speckled dots of hostiles blocking your way.
Wolter estimates 20 gnolls battle ready, at least 1 leader type, 10 noncombatants, (elderly/women or children) and at least 5 hyena's.

They hold no proper shape and are spread quite far,

For now you are safe and out of sight on your side of the dune,

Whispers rush around the remainder of the party.
The general censes is no one wants to spend the extra hours walking around, as it is they have pushed to hard and are tired and hungary, but most don't want to help fight either.

The captain will aid you and so will one of his loyal crew members
One patron who shared the room with the halfling, a human who follows the new religion offers his aid in the name of the imperial king.
And the imperial mage and guard offer to help but for a price, they say this was not part of their orders but they could help out for say, the ring wolter is wearing.

Thats 5 offering to help.
That leaves 9 behind with the carts, 3 crew, 3 patrons, dorian and the twins.

Everyone looks at the hero's of the ship and await their discission.

Wolter will smile at the Imperials and tell them they will not be needed then.

He scans the Gnolls and looks to see if they are headed our way or just crossing our path. IF they are just crossing Wolter will advise everyone to take a break and get some nourishment for a few minutes before we head to town.

if they are heading toward us Wolter will get the carts in a defensive ring to help protect every one. HE will then ready his bow to take out as many of the gnolls as he can before they get within melee range.

Feroz says nothing as he checks his crossbows making sure they are in order. He then asks Wolter if he would like to be able to move faster. He has a psi ability that can lend him better speed for a time. In fact moving downhill makes the person even quicker. Feroz might even be able to place the enchantment on his dog and other allies.

That is if they are going to attack.

The captain takes a big sigh as he grasps his sword tightly, his knuckles go white with anticipation as he reminds himself of his duties as the captain and leader. He tells Dorian that that is fine it was never his duty to aid them. Then he decides not to wait for you two and takes his man and heads over the hill.

Great Just great Wolter thinks to himself. We are facing five to one odds and our captain wants to be a hero. HE looks over at Feroz and tells him to save his energies as he may need them before this fight is over. With that he readies his bow and checks his arrows as he follows the captain over the hill and down to possible death.

Feroz uses psi ability Skate and innate ability Burst. The same description as before happens but Feroz does not yell anything so as not to alert the enemies. He uses his crossbows in battle and tries to stay out of melee.
