Quake leaves northeast unharmed

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.2 jolted northeastern Japan on Sunday, the Meteorological Agency said.
No tsunami warning was issued for the 12:33 p.m. quake and there were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries.
Tokyo Electric Power Co. said its two nuclear power stations in Fukushima Prefecture were undamaged and normal operations were unaffected. Tohoku Electric Power Co. said the same for its nuclear plant in Miyagi Prefecture. (Japan Times)
