I have read 4 books from Brown now, so I have gotten a taste of most of his published novels (all three of the Robert Langdon versions). While it is entertaining and a good read, it feels really familiar. For anyone that has read his previous works, you get the feeling of a formula...kinda like...insert attractive intelligent ladies name here, insert some socially odd bad man here, etc... It is worth the read and I almost got the feeling he was even more trying to write a screenplay rather than a book.

Comments: I just got reading The Lost Symbol. Entertain yes. Made me want to go out and dig for gold, no. How anyone can take a novel so seriously is beyond me.
