Dumb Trini Swinging A Cat Through The Air
Did you see the video on TV 6 of that mindless Trini abusing a cat by swinging it around and then throwing it in the air? Sad thing is I see this kind of thoughtless a lot especially among the youth. They are growing with no sense of respect for anything or anyone.

Dumb? Why do you call him a dumb? That kid is a future killer, I could not believe my eyes when I saw him throwing the cat through the air and the poor cat shouting in pain! I didn't hear but what TV6 news said with regards of who sent the video because it is obvious whoever was filming was actually giving the guy ideas of what to do with the poor cat.
Then people wonder when I teach why I am so tough with my students and I have a dog face at school, it is BECAUSE is the ONLY way they get it!

There is a press released from The Animal Welfare Network and The Trinidad and Tobago Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals:
QUOTE The Animal Welfare Network and the Trinidad and Tobago Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals wish to express their disgust at the content of the viewer's video shown during the TV6 News at 7 p.m. On Thursday, June 17th.
The video showed a teenage boy holding a ginger cat in his hands and swinging it violently around his body, over his head and between his legs. On the accompanying audio viewers could hear the cat's cries of pain and distress and the boy's laughter.
After abusing the animal in this manner for a minute or two, he hurled the cat away from him, high into the air. It seemed to land at some distance from him but it was not clear from the video what happened to the cat after it landed on the ground.
Treating an animal in this manner is clearly cruel and in contravention of the Summary Offences Act, Section 79 (1) which states:
Any person who cruelly beats, ill-treats, starves, over-drives, overrides, overloads, abuses, tortures, or otherwise maltreats any animal is liable to a fine of four hundred dollars or to imprisonment for two months.
As the video did not indicate where this incident took place, both organisations strongly encourage the person who took this video to act responsibly and supply TV6 with this information and any other facts that may help prevent a repeat of this incident.
TTSPCA and AWN work in partnership with the police to investigate cases of cruelty to animals.
Both organizations, therefore, wish to send a strong message that cruelty, like that displayed by this boy, is completely unacceptable and, furthermore, is punishable by law.
