XBOX DVD Resolution?

Does anyone happen to know if the XBOX is a progressive scan DVD player.  And when you set it for higher resolution is that only for games?  My DVD player crapped out on me and I wanted to use my  lil brother's XBOX in the mean time.  :)

I honestly don't know if the XBOX can be used as a DVD player also.  I do know that the PS2 can be used for both video games and for watching DVDs.   The quality of the PS2 for watching DVDs is ok, but I don't reccommend watching a ton of movies on it.  It will wear the reader out over time.  But you could use temporarily til you get your DVD player fixed.

The x-box isn't progressive scan, another problem with using the x-box as a DVD player would be that you have to buy a special add-on for it.  If you don't have this add-on your dvd's won't work.
