Nowadays it seems that the movie industry is lost as to what to create next, so they go to the old comics of yester year to get a script. Are you familiar with the Hellboy comics?

I have a few old Hellboy comics stashed away in my collection. I always liked them, but they never stacked up to the great ones of yester year like Justice League, Superman, Batman, and Xmen. When collecting old comics, Hellboy comics haven't held their value like the others I listed above so I haven't been avid about collecting them.
It made an interesting movie, but really seem to give Hellboy more power and strength then he had in the comics. He also had a slight sarcastic amusement to him that the comics didn't have. I didn't like the way they made him a lighter less intimidating character. In the comic he was dark and disturbed because he was part. He wasn't a sarcastic jerk who made off the cuff comments in the heat of battle.
