I personally think it's down to the parents, you know that if you take your child to McDonald's for a happy meal, that you are going to receive a toy in their box.
If you are unhappy in any aspect of this, in my opinion, just say 'no' to your child!

I agree that parents should be responsible for where their children eat. Saying that, McDonald's, and other fast food, and other areas of foods that are targeted for children, are using tactics that are, or should be illegal. Tactics like using child psychologists telling the marketing department of companies how to market to children, which is or should be illegal, as a company cannot solicit (or aggressively sell to) a child. There are also other behavior experts that help too, so unless you are an expert in all these areas, then parents are at a severe disadvantage.
