Imagine a 5 months old baby, dressed in a zipped up snow suit in a room where the temperature was 80 degrees, in a car seat inside his crib and not moved or fed for 8 days!. This makes my blood boil!

| The biological parents of a 5 month old Peorian found dead in his crib last week at 3012 W. Proctor were formally charged Wednesday afternoon with murder. According to court records, 23 year old James Eugene Sargent and 21 year old Tracey Hermann were each charged with two counts of murder in connection with the death of 5 and a half month old Benjamin Sargent. Police claim the infant was found unresponsive in his crib seated in a car seat, dressed in a zipped up blue snow suit in a room where the temperature was 80 degrees. According to Peoria County State's Attorney Kevin Lyons the child apparently hadn't been moved or fed in eight days, and died of starvation due to neglect by the parents. This is another example of people who do not deserve kids. I think that they need to be placed in a car out on a open lot in the nice sunshine. The car doors sealed shut and let them sit there for three or four days. That way they can understand what their child went thru. We will bury them in a joint grave where they can enjoy eternity together.

I agree with you Hailey, there is enough help out there to hand your child over to be protected and stand a chance in life.
It angers me not only when I hear about children being murdered, but the horrible suffering that they've incurred first before they die!

I've said it before and will probably say it again, some people just should't be parents. You need a license for many things these days, lets make it manditory to have kids. This couple deserve o be tossed into jail and starved to death too!
