Teen Dies Following Lds Girls Camp Hike
This is so sad and tragic! Sometimes the youth forget to drink water, specially in such a dry state like Utah.
QUOTE HEBER CITY -- Heat may have played a role in the death of a 17-year-old girl at a church camp in Wasatch County.

Sophie Barton was hiking with other girls and her mother Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Heber Valley Girls Camp, which is located just east of Heber City. Witnesses say she began to feel dizzy and eventually collapsed.
When emergency crews arrived, Barton was in and out of consciousness. They transported her to Heber Valley Medical Center, where she died a few hours later.
The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office says an autopsy will be performed to determine Barton's exact cause of death....
