I am almost embarrassed to admit this. As much as I love listening to music and the fact that I once had folders upon folders of cds before they were taken during a rocky relationship.... I have had to really think hard but I actually own currently 5 cds.
Bon Jovi
Mariah Carey
Eminem
*I could only imagine* single
Usher
Including mine and my husband's... I would guess somewhere around 30 or 40? More than half of which we don't listen to much if at all. Our five newest CDs are Prince of Egypt, Jack Johnson "In between dreams", a CD given us by a tenant of the apts. we manage of his sister, Phantom of the Opera and Les Mis. We listen to these quite often.
Offtopic but, Bwren, "I could only Imagine" by Mercy Me? I love that song! |
I don't really listen to CDs anymore ever since the obtaining of my PSP, although I still use them with my boom box and all that.
I think I have...around 300 or so - ranging from Hip Hop to Metal to Trance to Pop rounding right back to Classics, Punk and everything in between - although I've stopped buying them now since I rip mine right off P2P networks like LimeWire...
My wife and I combined have around 50 CD's. However, we lost a couple of them the last time we moved, and haven't really bought a lot since then. My wife tends to buy more CD's than I do. I really have to like at least 3 or 4 songs on an album to consider buying the CD.
When counting singles and multi-disc albums, I have somewhere between 500-600 cds. Most of my cds are greatest hits, such as Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Garbage, etc"¦ Some artists/bands, I have all their cds, like Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zeppelin, No Doubt. I also have collections like the Grammy nominees cd of certain years, some "That's what I call music" and several other collections.
You are truly a collector to have so many although when I was in the USA and subscribed to BMG I could see how making such a collection would come easy.
