I think that part of the problem is that people are becoming frightened of the consequences if they evangelize to 'the wrong people'. By this I mean somebody who has asked for religious counsel/prayer, and then sued the person for giving the religious help.
One good example of this would be a case in the Uk, where a woman was seriously ill and she asked the nurse if she would help her pray. The nurse did this, the woman went on to recover, and further more went on to sue the nurse! The nurse was going to be sacked from her job for it, but the court saw sense and dropped the case.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, there are too many people out there willing to make a fast buck out of somebody elses' caring attitude.
Why did she sue the nurse for doing something she asked? Looks like she was just looking for a handout. Just now you will have to reveal a disclaimer before sharing your beliefs, how silly.
