As a Canadian and a Christian, there are things going on in this country that greatly disturb me
For instance this recent news Article from Catholic Insight entitled "Freedom from religion: a Canadian "right"?"

It is hard to believe that countries founded in Christianity have these problems.
The attacks against religion are really only aimed at Christianity. Government bends over backwards to accomodate Islam, both in the US and Canada. Eastern religions also get a fairly free pass. And, as long as it is appropriately liberal (leftist) in its philosophy, Christian churches get a free pass.
Conservative or traditional Christian churches have let it get out of hand in the name of tolerance.
First it was prayer in schools. Many of us agree that forcing children to participate in prayers of another denomination is not quite right. But we DIDN'T fight against it on grounds of religious liberty. Later, as our speech was restricted, we complained, but didn't seek justice.
When liberal, leftist, activist judges made decisions that were patently restricting liberty, we just went along rather than demanding their impeachment.
I am not a proponent of conspiracy theories, but I really start to wonder when I see that the US is accepting more and more treaties that reduce our sovereignity in favor of European models. Recently, WorldNetDaily reported that a series of treaties have been hammered out that will subject US citizens to European "hate crime" laws. When this happens, it will come as huge surprise to many people to learn that any disapproval of another person's conduct based on morality teachings will be considered a punishable offense under these laws.
The socialist agenda is going strong.

Well, this seems to be more and more a global problem. https://www.msnbc.com/news/1003910.asp?0cv=CB20 is a link to an article that says "A long-awaited report on church-state relations in France advised the government on Thursday to forbid school pupils to wear Muslim veils, Jewish skullcaps or large Christian crosses."
This is worse than anything yet I have seen happen in the US. It is one thing to say the government can't display a statue in a public place, but to say an individual can't wear a religious symbol in a public place???

Muslim headscarves have become a major issue in France amid growing concern that militant Islamist views could be spreading among disaffected elements of the country's five million Muslims, who make up eight percent of the population. |

So they can't ban Muslim headscarves without banning yarmulkes and crucifixes, too, or they would be seen to be discriminating against Muslims. |
I ran across this news article today. It shows how deep the antagonism is growing towards any strongly held religious beliefs or values.

It's really scary what's going on right now, look at France for instance!. It's amazing to me because in a world like we are living, religion may be one of the things that can give hope to the people but they want to get rid of it as much as possible!!!! it doesn't make any sense to me.
