Grave Of The Fireflies

This has to be one of the best Japanese Animations I have ever seen. It is very true to life in what it establishes. Grave Of The Fireflies reached deep into me and brought out great compassion for the characters. I cried and felt heartbroken possibly to because of seeing the special needs of my own children. So many children suffer in the world and are subject to the brutality that adults put them through and all they want is to try their best with what little they can and be happy. It will be nice to see this made into a feature length movie.

Fireflies The Grave

Heartbreaking story. An excellent film about war and children. I believe is a great film to show when kids are ungrateful for the many blessings they have.

The boy's character is so touching, in such a desperate situation all he tries to do is to take care of his little sister in the best way he can.

The inevitable happens and I couldn't stop crying. I cannot say much without giving too much details but all I can say is prepare to be moved in ways few films can.

Grave Of The Fireflies Sports & Fashion Music Movies

I did happen to see this film late one night and was also moved by it. It was pretty sad, not wanting to give anything away I can't say a lot more. It brings to life some very tough subjects that many do not want to think about. Like the struggles of everyday life for children with little or no opportunity for making their situation better. Very touching, very intelligent film, as we head into the future many people forget what it means to struggle for the very basics of life. This film helps put things into perspective and if anything, hopefully, makes the viewer aware that these struggles occur / occurred.

Fireflies The Grave

One of the things this film teaches is how we are all quick to judge others when we see them. For instance the film starts with a young man draped on the floor of a subway station. he is filthy and looks dazed with what used to be a tin for keeping sweets. People pass by and complain how filthy he is and why he is there and so forth... If they only knew the history.

What is your review for the entertainment value of the animated movie called, "Grave of the Fireflies"?

The story is based on the semi-autobiographic novel by the same name, whose author, Nosaka, lost his sister due to malnutrition in 1945 wartime Japan. He blamed himself for her death and wrote the story so as to make amends to her and help him accept the tragedy. Read more on next page.
