Committee on Migration of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops

He joked about using the occasion as a platform to urge compassion on the immigration bill, which has been one of this year's most volatile topics at the Capitol. While he chuckled about the prospects, the issue is clearly top-of-mind for a man who is now at the forefront of discussion about immigration policy in America. In November, he was named chairman of the Committee on Migration of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Its fine for what Jesus would do but would they think the same? If it was the opposite and we were invading their country, taking jobs, living off the land illegally would they be standing at the border asking what Jesus would do? Let's save America and not try to bring idealism into this because there are laws for a reason just as god has laws for a reason.

Yes, verify before you vilify. One would think the Catholic Church would be the first to follow that tenet but apparently they aren't. So they instruct their parishioners and parishes about something that is just rumor and hasn't really happened. I think they owe ICE and the Government an apology.
