Atrophy Introduction

Hello. I am new, obviously. I believe that I'm here for a play by post RPG, but anything could strike my fancy. I've played many MMORPGs and I recently started playing D&D in person with a group of my friends. I pick up things in general very quickly. My grammar may not be perfect, I'm a little rusty. I am generally quiet, but I tend to over-explain things when I don't know what to say. Even though I think before I speak, so much that I appear almost constantly quiet. I learn quickly and grow frequently. Every day I look at who I was yesterday and call my self an idiot. I am sheltered and socially inept. Yet I am no bookworm, nor have I discovered my path in life. I recently started reading a book with the intent to finish it for the first time in 4 years. Most of my time is spent simply absorbing what I sense. I'm trying to be a better person for my fiancee. I am a computer with no drive, a dreamer. With too many sentences starting with "I am", this was probably more of an introduction than requested. I want to learn computer programming, scripting languages, graphic design and everything I need to create an RPG in any market. I am at Stage 0, base none. I would be happy if I could recreate FFII with sprites. Show me any RPG, in any setting, and I will come up with a statement starting with "what if, in addition.." or "alternately."

Atrophy Introduction Sharing Member & Introductions

Interesting intro, welcome to the site. Plenty of different RPGs to choose from here, from the user-run PbP's in the Member Wars sections, to the official site RPGs. I created this AD&D Newcomer F.A.Q. for people just like yourself, to help explain some of the nuances of not only making a character, but a very brief heads-up on this site/forum itself, while creating a character, and I recommend you check it out.

Introduction Atrophy

Hello Atrophy welcome to the site. There are a few 3.5 adnd rpg's to get involved in here.

I am going to provide a link to a few of them with a short explanation before them. These links are just to help you get started on finding out more information on the games that are running.

KNtoran's play by post game: Source 4 currently we are fighting a hill giant. This is just a side quest, previously we are attempting to get to the bottom of and possibly rid the area of overactive orcs.

Dark Calling, with myself as gm: Source 1 currently the players are searching a goblin cave that has been occupied by devils. Previously the pc's have been trying to find out exactly what is going on in the area. Devil activity is present but there is no clear purpose to it or a direct way to fight it.

War of the Gods, run by testsubject1: Source 8 currently the party is fighting an ogre aboard a ship. Things are looking grim right now as we are running short of hp and the ogre is regenerating. Perviously a flying ship of some sort has attacked the water born ship we were on. They appear to be trying to free some prisoners though there may be another motive to the attack.
