Comments: Avira keeps telling me I have a HTML/Spoofing.Gen virus in Thunderbird but when I try to remove it Avira just ignores it. What do I do?

Here is what you can do to prevent Avira Antivir continually notifying you:

1. Delete the offending Email(s)
2. Go to Trash folder, right click and "Empty Trash"
3. Go to File at top left of Thunderbird and then "Compact Folders"
4. Shut down Thunderbird and then reopen it and the problem should go away.
