End of the World?

In these time of war and rumors of war what does your religious faith say about the end of the world?

1. How will it end?
2. What will be the cause?
3. Can mankind stop it from happening? Why?

World the End

I think the End of the World will come when Jesus Christ comes to the earth again.

The cause will be the cleansing of the earth and preparing it to be celetialized.

Can we stop it from happening? Of course not, but we can make it better for ourselves by living our lives in a good manner and repenting of our sins.

We live in a time of murder, injustice and terror....
It was prophesised by the almighty AZTECS that the world will come to an end during these times in the year 2012.

Heh, the Aztecs have had lots of prophecies though, many which have not happened and are false. I don't one can pick out a specific year, no one knows so why try and know?

I don't think we can do anything to prevent the end from coming because I believe it is all a part of the plan of salvation for us. Jesus Christ will come back again to reign and rule on the earth and it will eventually receive it's paradaisical glory. This will require a great change and the destruction spoken of in the Bible must occur. This is all in my opinion of course.

The End of the World? Or the end of the Age?

I would be interested in any prophecies that indicate the "end of the world." All of them that I am aware of are about the "end of the world as we KNOW it" or "the end of the Age." This is even more clearly stated as the end of the "time of the Gentiles."

Yes, it is nearing the time of cleansing, when the wheat is gathered out of the fields and the tares are burned. Of course, the question is, am I wheat or tares?

We can change which we are. It might be a good idea to focus on making that change.

((That was supposed to have been the big Y2K happening... good thing that blew over with relatively few problems.... although what has been happening in corporate america's back room accounting ever since then is kind of odd... but that's another topic))

That's interesting, Nighthawk, it hadn't occurred to me that that was how it's referred to in scripture. End of Age? Hmm... something else to go look up Thanks!

End the World General Religious Beliefs

Actually it was the ancient Mayan civilization that chose December 21st, 2012 A.D. as the end of their Long Count calendar system of timekeeping. There's lots of info on the Internet about it.
