Most houses are cased before they are broken into. The thieves would have known that she was pregnant and probably watched for her to leave to give birth knowing that she and her husband would not be home for a while.
If they want something you have no amount of security is going to stop them from getting in and getting what they want.

I think someone closer to her is the responsible for it. I don't believe in coincidences, someone knew she was leaving for the hospital.

You could be very well correct in that. A majority of home break ins occur by someone they know. Usually someone that has been in the house and knows where everything is. This is a reason I do not have very many people over in my home. I do not want people to know or see what I use for security inside my home.
