A tough call as most of the books are ok, but the one thing that tends for me to let them down are the endings.

A good idea that is well thought out and created can be ruined by unbelievable and laughable ends...

They are all entertaining reads, but my problem with him is that he either conciously or unconciously seems to be using a formula for writing. I can see the same characters over and over with just different names. However, he is a master at taking bits and pieces of fact and weaving them into an incredible piece of fiction.

I have only read The Lost Symbol but saw the other two movies. I liked the Lost Symbol a lot, it was very intense and tough to put down. I read it in a few days while I was at work, I am a pipefitter that works mostly nuclear plants around the U.S. And the nature of nuclear work is very slow so we often have quite a bit of down time, and was somewhat disappointed that it wasn't longer than it was. Being a first degree freemason myself I was quite interested in the inclusion of legitimate and positive info as opposed to the normal world domination type that's thrown around. I think the writing style was very good but can definitely see what the previous poster said about the same characters with different names but there are so many different stories that are relatively the same with slightly different settings and characters.

I wasnt surprised by the somewhat repeditive characters with the Robert Langdon storylines. However, I was a bit surprised to see it in his earlier works as well (digital fortress and deception point). They are a entertaining read though.

I will have to check those out, even though I already have quite the backlog of books I need to read. I will try and get those worked in there.

Angels and Demons was the first I read of his books and as a previous poster stated the thread of clues that can be pulled together in a great way.

But the end with what happened seemed more than unreal, not close to what is believable.

I have read the Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. I enjoyed both of the books. They both have a gripping mystery which made the books hard to put down. Of the two though, I would have to choose Angels and Demons because it sticks out more in my mind. Particularly the ending!
