Harry Reid to protect the Quran?

When a lone, misguided individual 'pastor' (out of thousands) decides to start burning the Quran - what is the logical reaction? Have Congress make a law, of course! Harry Reid has promised he will 'look into' this Quran burning. Which is entirely consistent with his position on the artist who created a urine soaked crucifix - wait - Reid didn't say anything about that? Huh. Reid is responding because Muslims in Afghanistan are slaughtering innocents in response. How should people be responding to all of this? And how does Glenn work Foghorn Leghorn into the conversation? Ref. Source 9

I find it ironic that these misguided muslims can burn a bible and be ok with it but if the christians burn a koran then they need to kill christians to make it right. Maybe if both sides would actually meet with each other and act like adults we would not be in this mess at all. There has been book burning all through history. This is not that much different.

You have a religion in which if you decide to leave (apostasy) in the middle east that the punishment is death. I say that because western followers are allowed to leave with little consequence in western countries. I checked on the internet and can find a few documented cases of Bible burning by islamic governments and desecration of it by members of islam, but not a whole lot. Not sure if it is just not that new worthy or if there really isn't that much of it.

Radical islam has unfortunately highjacked any good that moderate islam has done. It will be up to this supposed majority of moderate islam to police their own, but again...even moderates in their own countries in the middle east will kill their own if they leave the religion. No parting gift on the way out...just death.

Florida Pastor Does Not Plan To Burn More Qurans

Terry Jones made headlines last year when he announced and then called off plans to publicly burn a copy of the Muslim holy book. But on March 20, he actually did it and though it drew little media attention at the time, it's since sparked protests in Afghanistan that have claimed 20 lives.
