Issues From Around The World
An electronics technician aboard the ill-fated oil rig Deepwater Horizon told an investigative panel that sound and light alarms were shut off on the day the rig exploded.

Not that it is funny that this oil rig exploded, but I thought it funny that they turned the alarm off. The alarm is there for a reason but then you disable it, why? I think an investigation should be done on this. No one just turns off an alarm for the fun of it.
Were I live a truck transporting oil turned over and was punctured leaking oil, they are doing an investigation.
I am just wondering with all this oil stuff going on now there may be some ulterior motives going on. Probably just a coincidence but it should be looked into.
They as in the workers are saying that the alarms were by passed and silenced as a way to not disturb those who were not working and trying to get some sleep. I think if the workers actually had the warning bells and alarms connected and in working order then maybe this would not have happened. Just another normal SOP that BP needs to answer for.
